MUINE, VIETNAM

MuiNe is an Asian Hawaii. Consistent E/NE wind (esp Nov-Feb) is pretty ensured. MuiNe is basically choppy condition. While if u go to next beach up north at Malibu resort, there are some "better" waves, at least less crowdy. And if the wind towards northerly, here's much better than the side-off condition at MuiNe beach.

This is how narrow it is (upwind of Jibe Windsurf shop...)

Accomodation: Heaps of nice resorts by the beach. Sunshine Beach Resort is the most popular for kiteboarders, ~US$35 per night. Spacious grassland for storing the kites. "Wide" sand area fr the water. It's v important at MuiNe, as upwind fr Gybe windsurf shop, the beach is too narrow and no good for kite launching! Basically choose the resort over the left side (downwind side) over the map here. My last stay was at Hawaii Resort. It have 8 rooms only, with nice swimming pool and some grassland with wide beach. V nice room & friendly kiteshop (kitepirate) nextdoor.

see much wider beach near Hawaii Resort (next to Swiss Village)

Food: Dont miss to dine at Good Morning Vietnam, fabulous italian restaurant, v gd pizza...For seafood & Vietnamese, some are good but some are v bad & expensive... stick to the good ones and dont try out too much! Good one is "Lam Tong Quan" next to Gybe Windsurf shop, and the next door Ngoc Suong, both v reasonable price...
